Comic-Con Preview Night, by David Bax
It’s David here and I’m in San Diego for Comic-Con. I’ll be updating the podcast feed regularly for the next few days with interviews, mostly with other film bloggers and podcasters. So please check the feed or subscribe to the podcast if you haven’t.
I arrived in San Diego yesterday afternoon and check into my adorably tiny hostel room.
After that, I set up my tech for the trip (yeah, that’s right, two laptops):
And then I unpacked. Very proud of my use of available space here:
I walked around the exhibit hall floor a bit, where I ran into our friend Ian Brill, who writes Darkwing Duck comics for Boom Studios.
I don’t watch “The Walking Dead” but I thought this life-size Michael Rooker diorama or whatever was pretty cool.
After a quick dinner and a couple drinks, I headed over to the Marriott for the /Film, First Showing, ScreenRant meet-up. More drinks were had there but I also got in some interviews with Devindra Harduwar of the /Filmcast,
Tim Buel of The Golden Briefcase podcast,
and Peter Sciretta of /Film.
Check the podcast for those interviews, along with my talk with friend of the show/my ride to the convention Patrick Starr.
And stick with the podcast and blog for more updates throughout Comic-Con.
I think the RSS podcast feed has missing MP3 files for the Comic Con posts.
