In this episode, Tyler and David are joined by comedian Josh Fadem to discuss the upcoming Summer releases of 2014.
I haven’t listened yet … just hoping Josh goes the full Fadem. That rant of his a few years ago perfectly summed up how I felt about the state of Hollywood cinema too.
I do love these, but I found out I can only take about an hour and a half of Josh at a time. I did quite enjoy David attempting to power through Josh’s attempts at tangents.
I forgot how much I enjoy Josh on the show. I have to agree I couldn’t care less about all these superhero movies. Good discussion about VOD!
I was entertained by this episode, but, didn’t learn too much about summer movies. Josh is funny, but can be very distracting from any structured conversation you might want to have here. I keep feeling like he might say something that goes too far. I can only take listening for small amounts of time.
An entertaining episode though.
I believe CLR is a cleaning product that used to have commercials on constantly.
you know when you’re hanging out with your friends and everything is nice and then at some point the night just flies off the rails when your one friend starts getting really loud and obnoxious? you still try to talk with them and understand what the hell they’re talking about till you realize they’re about seven or eight rounds ahead of everyone else and then you just hope to salvage the night without any major embarrassments. that’s what this episode felt like.
I saw a trailer for The Giver, and parts of it were in Black and White, so that’s a good sign.
As someone who really enjoys Josh Fadem, I always find these episodes entertaining. But as someone who also really enjoys summer blockbusters, I find these episodes quite frustrating.
WAHH WAHH WAHHH I’M A FUCKIN BABY WHO CAN’T HANDLE TANGENTS OR RAMBLING OR HIGH ENERGY OR TOO MUCH TALKING ON A PODCAST WHERE PEOPLE ARE SUPPOSED TO TALK A LOT!
LVJOSH 3AM FADEM
I love these episodes and I love Fadem. Tangent away and let them run long, says I!
Chef appears to me to be an allegory for film making. Favreau (creative director) wants to cook what and how he wants, but his boss (studio execs/producers) want him to do something else so he goes out and makes an indie, I mean opens a food truck. I can’t imagine why he wanted to make this film after Iron Man 2 and Cowboys and Aliens. 😀
Guardians of the Galaxy looks amazing. Godzilla may get me out to the theater.
Wow! I’m surprised by all the negative comments about this episode. I love it when Josh Fadem is on. He’s entertaining as hell. My only complaint is that he isn’t on more and the episodes always feel too short.
I always love these episodes. Every Josh Fadem episode has something in it that eventually becomes a little joke I only repeat to myself.
Loooking through Wikipedia, turn out that part of the reason Christian Slater showed up in Star Trek VI was because the casting director was his mother.
Had to turn it off halfway through. That guest is fucking insufferable, more obnoxious than a learning disabled and heavily intoxicated child. I realize this comment is rude, but I genuinely thought having that guest on was rude to your listeners.
I’m so happy Josh is back! The fall/summer previews with him are always my favorite! It’s been too long! Try and have him on again sooner if you can!
