Suziey was a great guest. I was a little so-so on Entrance when I first saw it (I’ll second nothing but praise for Suziey’s performance, though) but it’s a movie my mind returns to often and one I may need to re-watch soon.

Hearing her talk about growing up watching horror films reminded me of something I thought of recently. The first R-rated movie I saw in a movie theater was Bride of Chucky. In my memory I imagined I must have been around 12 or 13 years old but I looked it up and it came out in 1998 which means I was 8 years old! What they hell was my dad thinking taking me to see that when I was 8!

100% on board for crying in movies. Why not let yourself have an emotional response to art? To deny yourself that seems almost to defeat the purpose of consuming art in the first place.

I find that more than sad moments, really inspirational ones tend to make me tear/choke up. I spent the last half hour of Made in Dagenham blubbering over those women standing up for themselves.

Now that the issue of men crying at movies has been put to rest, can we get the official BP line on yelling at characters while watching? Because I just finished Entrance and holy shit. I’m glad it was at home and not in public.

Suziey’s a delight. Please bring her back soon!

If I’m at home alone, I carry on a full conversation with the entire movie. If I’m with anyone else, I try to shut up.

This episode inspired me to finally get off my ass and watch Entrance. And holy hell! Who are these Entrance naysayers? Nothing but delightfully scary atmosphere and panic, throughout. Count me in as an Entrance disciple!
