FYI: The difference between a psychiatrist and a psychologist is that a psychiatrist is a medical doctor (i.e., has an MD and prescribe medication). Psychologists will have clinical degrees like a Ph.D. or Psy.D. Psychologists are trained clinicians and (should be) licensed by their state to do therapy, but do not have medical backgrounds and can’t do things like prescribe medicine (generally, some states allow non-medical clinicians to prescribe some medications as part of their practices).

There are also non-clinical psychologists, but I assume you meant clinical psychologists who would do things like therapy.

That makes sense, even though I’ll certainly forget it by the next time it comes up. Thanks!
