    I assume you mean Martha and Edwina.

    My understanding had been that “Somewhere” focused on a male character’s estrangement, though I suppose Elle Fanning as his daughter could provide that. I myself have only seen her “Lost in Translation”.

      Thanks for catching that. It has been corrected.
      As for SOMEWHERE, I’d definitely say that it is primarily about Stephen Dorff’s character, but it is worth noting that there are moments in which we see him primarily through his daughter’s eyes. The fact that his daughter is there at all, and that he’s not just alone, speaks to Coppola’s commitment to expressing a female perspective, even in the midst of a man’s story.
