directed by John McTiernan John McClane is the kind of action hero who gets shot in the shoulder and shrugs it off like it’s a bug bite. When he gets hurt, he feels it and so do we. The image of our hero pulling shards of glass out of his bare feet and not making it look easy probably comes as a shock to anyone who’s used to Chuck Norris, Arnold Schwarzenegger or Steven Seagal. That’s what makes Die Hard one of the best action movies of all time. And let’s not forget that it’s also the funniest. “We’re gonna need some more FBI guys, I guess.”
