MICHEL GONDRYETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND, THE SCIENCE OF SLEEP, BE KIND REWIND From utter brilliance with Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind to his subpar director-for-hire work in The Green Hornet, Michel Gondry’s filmography is uneven. And while he is inconsistent, one thing is for certain, when he is at his artistic peak he is pushing cinema in ways that have not been done before. He has been accused of being self-indulgent with his unique style, however I would argue that his more personal work is simply how he sees the world.
