If Withnail and I were a crappy sitcom, you would wonder why anyone hangs around with Richard E. Grant’s misanthropic narcissist, amusing as he may be to the viewer. But Grant provides him with a magnetic electricity that the audience, much like his put-upon friend, are drawn to like a moth.
