81. Groundhog Day (1993)
directed by Harold Ramis
Harold Ramis is a very successful and talented man. But who would have ever thought the guy who wrote Animal House would be so widely respected by Buddhists? It’s all due to this film, which is as funny as anything else Ramis and Bill Murray did together and with ten times more mental impact. Murray spends a very long time reliving the same day over and over as a sort of cosmic punishment for being a jerk. It’s only when he learns his simple lesson and the movie has imparted that same lesson to us, that he is allowed to go forward.
