BP Movie Journal 1/28/16
Tyler and David discuss the movies they’ve seen recently, including:
ELECTRIC BUGALOO: THE WILD, UNTOLD STORY OF CANNON FILMS
ROBOCOP 2
MISSISSIPPI GRIND
FRANKENSTEIN MUST BE DESTROYED
AMERICAN ULTRA
THE ALAMO
CALL ME LUCKY
SPY
SLOW WEST
THE MUMMY (1959)
KAOS
EYE IN THE SKY
I could not deal with that site gag in Slow West. You’re right, it was straight out of Airplane! or Naked Gun. I Think I said out loud “oh, come on!”, in the theatre. Still love the movie, though.
I didn’t know where to ask this question so I’ll just leave it here:
Can I be a nonconformist with you guys too?
I utterly adore Slow West. I had actually it watched again (3rd time around) this morning and happened to listen to this movie journal later on, so it was cool listening to you guys discuss the film. It was also a pleasure hearing about Hammer Horror, I’m a devotee Hammer fan, that TCM set is a good start but the Dracula and Frankenstein movies work best in chronological order. Not that you’ll “miss” anything in between but seeing the evolution of the studio, the directors and stock company is part of the fun and it will enhance your experience if you’re up for it.

This is a bit of info on Max Landis and why some people hate him. Basically, he’s a regulation douchebag, but the title of that piece is too good not to share
Yeesh. That is some gross stuff.
