Got so excited when I saw the running time!

  2. Marko says:

Not that we’re probably missing too much, but the episode seems to cut off early during the Amazing Race discussion.

  3. Dan says:

Anyone iffy on whether they need to watch Red River should watch this. I uploaded it five years ago because it’s my favorite scene:

I went out to see ‘The Hateful Eight’ immediately after listening to this episode. I was planning to see it after work today but listening to your discussion only made me want to see it more. Now that I’ve seen the film my feet are firmly planted in the David Bax camp. This was one extraordinarily unpleasant and unrewarding experience. All the material previous to the “dingus” scene was great. It had all of Tarantino’s trademark witty and smartly written dialogue, character building, and world creation. But after THAT scene it had become abundantly clear that there was no greater themes or character development, but he was just setting up murder set pieces.

  5. Ryan says:

That was a very enjoyable three hours, guys. Though it still drives me up the wall when David “I love all three Hangover movies” Bax trashes Neighbors, one of the best comedies of 2014.

  6. Nick S. says:

For what it’s worth, Walter Brennan is probably at his most Walter-Brennanest in “Rio Bravo.” His performance is the apotheosis of cranky-old-west codger.
