David wasn’t kidding about that Tony Robbins documentary. I felt a bit of that infomercial accusation by the end but most of it was very compelling.
Ummmm, I don’t understand the distaste for improvisational comedy. Sure, improv has ruined a ton of recent Hollywood comedies, and I find theater people as annoying as any sane person, but what’s with the outright dislike for a premise involving an improv team? Considering the amount of Comedy Bang! Bang! references recently (though to be fair, some of them where just older references CBB has been using for years), I’m surprised by this weird distaste for improv (I totally get if it’s about Mike Birbiglia though. I dug Sleepwalk With Me, but that guy’s sincerity can get cloying real quick).
