I loved this comment from Robbie: “You can take anything you want from the Bible as much as you can take anything you want from a Chagall painting.” In my case, despite having read the entire Bible at a young age, it wasn’t until I went back and researched the authorship, history, cultural context, and intent behind the Bible that I really started to understand that it isn’t a reliable document at all—and it certainly isn’t a good moral guide, as evidenced by the fact that the absence of religious faith in free societies invariably correlate with higher levels of peace, prosperity, and happiness. The anonymity, unreliability, and occasionally allegorical nature of the Bible is a recipe for speculation about “true intent,” which inevitably manifests as sectarianism.

But I also loved the “Friars Club” comment. Talking about religion with just the people you like and think will listen is the way to go.

I’ll check out Natural Selection as soon as I get the chance. It sounds like my kind of movie.

Natural Selection does sound interesting. I’ve always been a fan of Rachel Harris as she pops into seemingly every sitcom on television for at least 10 minutes. I figured that her first “breakthrough” leading role would be in some kind of Bridesmaids-inspired comedy.

Pickerings comments on directing are interesting — looking forward to seeing this.

He went to school with those rappers? I think that’s great for some reason 🙂

Movies about religion are always interesting, most of the time they’re confused about it or really judgy (or both), but I always enjoy them on some level..

Uh, it was also hilarious that he joked about Tweaked Audio! 😀
