The ‘theme’ of the show was about music in the movies not musicals. It almost worked with Shirley Bassey and the Marvin Hamlisch tribute.

The whole musicals of the last 10 years was an ego based vendetta from the producers who were denied Oscars after Chicago won Best Picture.

David Bax, you need to watch Skyfal; it is really a good film.

Weirdly I agree, I really like the Garbage theme “The World is Not Enough”. One of my favorite moments was the Adele “Skyfall” song, “Goldfinger” was fun but like the Chicago number it seemed kind of out of place.

I would recommend Casino Royale over Skyfall for David to start into the Bond franchise.

The “theme” was a complete fail, music is movies is a great idea but was executed terribly! I’m a huge movie music fan and felt that they really dropped the ball.

The highlight of this episode for me was when David said that Lincoln was like an episode of The West Wing where Josh gets hit on the head and dreams that they’re all back in Lincoln-times.

Was having an awful day but listened to this episode on the way home yesterday and could not stop laughing at the three of you dismantling the Bond franchise. I think people have selective memory thanks to Casino Royale and Skyfall.

“When you see a semi-truck on its left wheels and an RPG goes underneath it, that’s so stupid.” Thanks for the image and the comment guys.
