The financing plan for the San Diego Convention Center was struck down in court. On mobile so no link, but basically they came up with a sort of indirect scheme to pay for it, the plan was challenged, it lost. I don’t know if they have a new plan, right now everybody’s freaked out about the Chargers leaving town.

You guys are both gems. I think this F&F stuff is a where-the-heart-is-willing situation. I bet if you turned on 5, 6 or 7 looking to have a good time you’d find a lot to enjoy. Which is true of a lot of blockbusters, so they’re hardly mandatory viewing. I’m just saying as a late convert, I felt similarly until a couple weeks ago, still don’t give a shit about cars, rolled my eyes constantly, found the whole affair immensely satisfying.
