Really good episode you guys. I was almost going to recommend that you do some more episodes where you talk about film music, either curated or composed. Only this time you could take requests from the audience a la Casey Kasem. Though I’d imagine that is something West will do on his new podcast. I’ll definitely be looking forward to it!
Great episode. I really do like episodes about film music. And great news about the new West Anthony podcast.
Great episode, great list and it’s great to hear West Anthony back on the air! Can’t wait for the new podcast!
Great episode. West Anthony is an amazing guest.
Great episode. Outside of my area of knowledge, but very enjoyable.
I want to say though, I’ve always disagreed with that Steve Martin line about there being no sad music played on the Banjo. There’s a lot of appalachian folk music that says otherwise, and African-American blues music was originally on banjos, the guitar was a later import from Mexico.
“I don’t like to put it this way, so I won’t”
I admire David’s restraint in not jumping all over this like he surely wanted to. Thank you so much, Tyler, for this Yogi Berra-esque gem.
