Literally just got back from seeing Rules Don’t Apply, and something must have been altered since the fest. For one, at no point does Broderick’s character get a real moment to shine. Also, I can’t recall seeing Dabney Coleman at all! Maybe I missed it, but I think Beatty couldn’t stop editing this one until the last minute (I kind of loved the sporadic style though). Could David and/or Scott describe the scene with Coleman? Maybe it was there and I just can’t remember.
