This aggression against Airheads will not stand, man. It’s a fun movie. Their one song is otherwise a pretty good cover of the Reagan Youth song Degenerated but sadly Brendan Fraser is not much of a singer.
i just remember the band “Cheap Girls” (who wanted to rename as “Meryl Streep”) in “The Money Pit – but i don’t think we heard them play…
i’ve never seen The Five Heartbeats, but that’s the only one you forgot that i can think of (aside from The Monkees, who were created for a TV Show, but got a movie after).
Do the groups from Pitch Perfect count?
and did i miss it or did you forget “Eddie & the Cruisers”? Matt Damon’s band in Eurotrip? John Goodman’s Las Vegas revue in “King Ralph”? The Dreamgirls? Whoopi Goldberg’s group from Sister Act? Florence Foster Jenkins?
I guess the groups from Pitch Perfect count but I’ve never seen The Money Pit, The Five Heartbeats, Eddie and the Cruisers, Eurotrip, Dreamgirls or Florence Foster Jenkins. I’ve got some catching up to do!

Wow, never thought I’d hear Mega Movies in East Brunswick referenced on BP. They used to have two for Tuesday specials where you could see two films for $6. Definitely a huge contribution to my becoming a cinephile as a teenager.
Great and fun episode! We need more Spinal Tap love.
