Two things:
1) I also think of Charlie’s Angels immediately when I hear Barracuda. And I tend to associate Cissy Strut with Jackie Brown even though it’s used in a pretty low-key way. It plays sort of faintly in the background when Ordell and Beaumont walk from Beaumont’s apartment to Ordell’s car.
2) Oh wow, not only had I not heard of Letterbombs until now but one of the members is a guy I know from other bands and who is also from my small hometown of Tornio, population about 20 000!
Wow, what a cool coincidence!
– David
The one film I can think of that plays the same song twice in a row is Olivier Assayas’ Cold Water during a lengthy party scene that has quite a few excellent needle drops, that I don’t want to spoil here. You guys should check out the film if you haven’t seen it, it’s my favorite of his films.
