Episode 816: Bedroom Wall Poster Movies and the Young Fuddy Duddies Who Hate Them

In this episode, David and Scott Nye discuss bedroom wall poster movies and the young fuddy duddies who hate them as well as the tragically premature death of the talented rapper Takeoff.
What are bedroom wall poster movies? Who are the young fuddy duddies? And why do the latter hate the former so much? David and Scott Nye attempt to identify and then get to the bottom of these questions, all without coming off like slightly older fuddy duddies themselves.

David, have you seen Andor yet? Based on your comments about Rogue One and Last Jedi, I highly recommend you add it to the queue. I can’t believe how good it is. I’ve felt really burned out by the constant nostalgia trip of Disney era Star Wars, but Andor is probably the best SW project since the originals. It’s a grounded, grown-up vision of Star Wars that both recaptures the original magic that’s been missing, and makes the galaxy feel new and fascinating again. Really satisfying and excellently done on every level.
I’m also burned out, to the point that I haven’t really had any interest in any of the Star Wars TV stuff. But I’ve heard a lot of good things about Andor. If I do check one out, it’ll be that one!
