I want to comment here advocating for people to check out movies offered by their local libraries.

While I understand some of the smaller library systems may not get access to newer movies, some of them have amazing DVD collections, often borrowable completely for free. The Philadelphia library often gets new releases on DVD (along with thousands of older films), and allows you to request a copy to be sent from one library branch to yours.

For anyone who still wishes they could watch DVDs at a fraction of the cost (or even no cost) of streaming, I highly recommend checking out your library system. I probably take out 90-95% of my movies from the library and supplement the remaining 5-10% with streaming. This is a great way to save money!

As someone with only one subscription streaming service, I was one of the regular Redbox users, up until they stopped updating their selections (the last one I rented was Barbie, as just seeing Oppenheimer in a theater was enough for one day). I can get DVDs from the library (presumably after a longer lag), but it will be missed. I watched In a Violent Nature in the theater though, so I didn’t have to wait (though it was an even longer drive to get to a theater that was playing that, though not compared to the one I went to for Oppenheimer).
