Fantasy Casting: Gabriel Knight
Okay. I’ll admit, this one’s pretty much just for me. Gabriel Knight was a computer game that was released in 1993, about a low level novelist getting involved in a series of voodoo-related murders in New Orleans. The game was incredibly well-written, with a strong sense of atmosphere and character. I consider it one of the more formative creative works of my young life.
Incidentally, the game is being revamped for its 20th anniversary. It will be released later this year. I highly recommend playing it.
Gabriel Knight is inherently cinematic, so I always thought it would make a good movie. Here’s how I think it should go:

Gabriel Knight was a favorite of mine as well. It will be interesting to hear the new voiceovers they are recording for the remake.
