Nostalgia
What with the “A Year of BP” tumblr starting up recently, I was feeling nostalgic, so I thought I’d share this. I’ve had this scrap of paper in my wallet for roughly seven years. It contains my notes for the very first episode of Battleship Pretension. I quickly scrawled it on a blank piece of receipt paper from Blockbuster Video, where I worked at the time. The episode was about the use of violence in movies. I’m not really sure why I kept the piece of paper; the podcast didn’t mean a whole lot to me, and I certainly didn’t think it would be such a big part of my life. However, all these years later, I’m happy that I still have it.
This is cool. When I first saw the title, I thought it was an essay by David on how nostalgia ruins art.
