I’m probably naive and unsophisticated politically… but as I understand things, democrats don’t REALLY have power, they’re stymied in the senate by two fake democrats. So I don’t understand why that situation is read as a failure of the whole party or the president, or what they’re expected to do about these two senators. for liberals who are upset in the lack of progress, the rational thing would be to give Dems the power they need. Ceding power to the gop is certainly not going to help. Explain it to me like I’m 5, I don’t understand the blame or the expected response lol

Well, the specific thing I was referring to was their inability to connect with a great many working class voters, even though a lot of their platform is aimed at helping them. But this speaks to the bigger issue, messaging. It’s an area in which the GOP happens to excel, which only makes it all the more frustrating how confusing and haphazard the Dems seem about almost everything.
