i would have liked to see something go to the nightingale which is one of my favourites of the year. Also there was some cool under the radar animated stuff this year like funan and primal (which is a mini series but was submitted as an animated film at the Oscar’s). Anyway there’s my 2 cents.
I definitely need to watch more animation in 2020.

According to some people at BP, The Nightingale is a 2018 movie (a position I actually agree with), which might explain its exclusion.
Nevertheless, it is definitely an incredible follow up to The Babadook, and an upsetting movie that I never want to watch again.
