I saw Guardians for a third time(oi) and I think Quill refers to a shiny blue briefcase along with the Maltese Falcon and The Ark. Which might not exactly be a Pulp Fiction reference (maybe The Ravegers picked up a copy of it on Earth later and/or there was Xandarian remake of it).
The weirder Earth reference for a child abducted by aliens is when Quill says, when describing his ship, “if you took a blacklight it would look like a Jackson Pollack painting”
