I think you’ve done an episode about this kind of complaint and you may think this is dumb, but I’m bothered by the depiction of mushroom poisoning in a choice thats on both of your lists…I’m talking about the one that results in death within about 5 minutes. I actually looked this up because it seemed fishy and unless you’re very young or very old, it usually takes a few days if not weeks to actually die from the worst mushrooms…not 5 minutes. Apparently in some extreme cases less than a day, but still many hours. also lots of vomiting and other symptoms.
in comparison, imagine a scene in a movie where someone locks a person in a walk-in freezer to murder them, and that person just keels over, dead, after like 90 seconds. That would be super dumb right? in terms of realism, this mushroom scene is just as dumb.. it’s only because of people’s general ignorance that they accept it. The rest of the movie is really good and I still like it, but that conclusion is somewhat lame. Anyway.

My extensive research of reading Choose Your Own Adventure books as a kid shows that you die pretty much right away after eating a poisonous mushroom.
