Sounds like you went in with your own preconceived notions. I actually saw the movie on a big screen and found it interesting from the start. There were moments where I didn’t know what was going to happen next. And I have to give it to the filmmakers for doing something different rather than the usual fare we see at the theater. If anything, the movie felt like a soap opera to me, which I rather liked. The situations were real, very true to life. It’s possible that you just didn’t get it.

    • I wouldn’t say that I came in with preconceived notions, just that I found the film’s description interesting and I found the film to be dull.

I have my opinions and you have yours. My reasons for liking the film are just as valid to me as your reasons for liking it. I don’t see where me “not getting it” comes in.
