Good episode guys! I was just wondering if you guys had heard of Tom Leher. If not, you’d both really like his stuff.

In regards to Miracle On 34th Street, i read an interview with Richard Attenborough who said the little girl didn’t know he was going to use sign language so her reaction was one of genuine surprise, makes that moment even more special.

Scrooge with Albert Finney doesn’t get enough attention. It’s a really weird but charming take on A Christmas Carol, with Albert Finney just going all out (the same way he does in Murder on the Orient Express, making choices that are nigh inexplicable but manage to work beautifully). Plus there’s one absolutely insane sequence invented for the movie that I won’t spoil here; suffice to say it’s better, or at least more interesting, than any of Zemeckis’s hijinks. And some of the songs are really catchy. And Alec Guinness plays Marley. Anyway, just thought I’d recommend it since it seems to be a somewhat forgotten adaptation of the Dickens classic.
