Steven Spielberg’s Jaws is one of my favorite films of all time. I can safely say that I have seen it more times than any other movie. It has such wonderful characters and such genuine thrills- not to mention iconic images and perhaps the most memorable movie theme of all time- that it is highly unlikely that any filmmaker would ever dare remake the movie.
However, if I were called upon to produce a Jaws remake, I would probably go back to the original source material (flawed though it may be) and start from scratch. And the resulting film would look like this:

For a while, I was thinking Liam Neeson, but somehow that did seem too obvious.
