Haven’t liked a Luhrmann joint this much since Romeo + Juliet. This material is a really great fit for his indulgences!
    4. Eläinoikeusjuttu (Just Animals)
Compelling doc about a few key figures in the contemporary animal rights movement in Finland.
    3. Apollo 10½: A Space Age Childhood
The Apollo stuff is fine but to me it’s secondary to all the wonderful snapshots into a kid’s life in the sixties.
    2. Jackass Forever
I’m pretty much a ride-or-die fan (well, Bad Grandpa excluded) and this is still such a invigorating jolt in the cinema landscape even if this doesn’t compare to Jackass Number Two or Jackass 3D.
    1. Top Gun: Maverick
Downright Eisensteinian clarity in visual storytelling and narrative.
