I agree that The Strangers was not good. It seems like the killers could have killed them at any time but just wasted time dragging out the film.

Blackcoat’s Daughter was good, while I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House combined the worst of cheap jumpscare horror and what detractors of arthouse horror think it is. Gretel & Hansel looked cool but the story seemed like the sort of halfhearted obligatory feminism that I didn’t think the director actually cared about. Looking forward to Longlegs just being scary again. I have seen Cage in some preview clips, carrying out one of the murders.

I think Europa Report was a low-budget space movie. John Carpenter’s Dark Star was just an expanded student film.

Yeah, I should’ve thought about Europa Report. There’s also Approaching the Unknown with Mark Strong.
